The Winter Active for Life Equipment Library has officially moved to its new location at the far end of the CGC Parking Lot next to the row of Whitehorse Nordic Centre SeaCans. This equipment hub is at the heart of our winter gear lending library, making it possible for rural communities, schools, and recreation groups across the Yukon to borrow skis, snowshoes, and kicksleds. By improving access to equipment, the program helps reduce barriers so more Yukoners can enjoy the benefits of being active outdoors in winter.

This important initiative is made possible through the support of our partners, the Recreation and Parks Association of the Yukon (RPAY) and the Sport and Recreation Branch.
A big thank you as well to Jan Polikva from Whitehorse Nordic and the team from RC Crane for safely moving the SeaCan to its new home.
With easier access to equipment, we’re looking forward to another season of active, healthy, and fun-filled winter adventures across the territory!
