Making it Matter
Making it Matter is the theme of this year’s BCRPA 2019 Symposium, hosted in the beautiful community of Whistler, BC. It showcases the tremendous impact each of us in recreation and parks roles is having in our communities.
Yesterday opened with an inspirational keynote about creating vibrant and healthy communities for all through parks and public spaces and the 8 80 belief, the idea of anything that is great for an 8 year old and great for an 80 year old, it will be great (safe) for all people .
Other sessions included Programming on a Shoestring, Positive Strategies to Support Behaviour (yes…I will definitely share my notes on this one too), and Positive Youth Engagement.
BCRPA is also walking the talk with some fun activity breaks complete with a walking picnic lunch to Lost Lake!
